Major Monica was commissioned as an officer in 2001, but resigned to marry Major Guy later that year and was reaccepted as an officer in 2004 when Major Guy was commissioned. She has a Bachelor’s of Arts with a concentration in Theatre Performance from the University of South Florida as well as a Masters of Science – Adult Education (Integrative Studies) from Capella University. Major Monica enjoys oil painting, pottery, reading, and learning.
The Nickums bring to the Kroc twin sons, Anthony and Braden, both 14 years old. They also have a son, Matthew, living in San Antonio, Texas.
The Nickums responsibilities focus on the community surrounding the South Atlanta Kroc. Considering trends and statistics, as well as the feedback from those in the community, the Nickums will seek to develop culturally relevant programs that meet the needs and interests of those they are targeted to reach. Partnerships with other organizations and community groups will also be sought to maximize the impact of the South Atlanta Kroc.
The Nickums look forward to getting to know the community!
